We recommend switching to 5 GHz in crowded areas to reduce interference; use 2.4 GHz when requiring longer transmission distances or connecting legacy devices.

The signal and speed depend entirely on the local cellular network coverage in your area, just like a phone. Inside buildings with thick walls, the signal may be weaker. The device will show you its signal strength. On a moving train, the connection will fluctuate as it switches between cell towers, so it's fine for browsing and email but may not be stable enough for a continuous HD video call.
